BCG (Bacillus Calmette Guerin)

BCG Vaccine
Form of tuberculosis bacterium that has been attenuated bacillus that is used to prevent tuberculosis (TB). BCG vaccine proved 80% effective in preventing tuberculosis for 15 years, but thethe effect is depends on geographical circumstances . BCG immunization is only done once, ie when infants aged 0-11 months.
BCG vaccine is a live vaccine derived from bacteria. Shape freeze dried vaccines such as measles vaccine in powder form which serves to protect children against tuberculosis (TB). Created from germs of life that has been attenuated, was found by Calmett Guerint. Before injecting BCG, the vaccine must first be diluted with 4 cc of liquid solvent (NaCl 0.9%). Vaccines that have been dissolved should be used within 3 hours. The vaccine would be easily damaged if subject to direct sunlight. Injection site is likely the right upper arm.
